Get Involved
At Angleton ISD, we believe that strong parent and community involvement is key to student success and the overall excellence of our schools. We invite you to "Get Involved" on our campuses through PTOs, event planning, chaperoning, and other opportunities that make a difference in our students' lives. Your participation not only enriches the educational experience but also strengthens the bond between school and community, helping us continue to Achieve Excellence—the Wildcat Way.
How do I get involved?
Any parent or community member who wishes to become a school volunteer on a regular basis shall complete the Volunteer @ AISD Form, consent to a criminal background check, and await administrative clearance prior to volunteering on any AISD campus.
In order to ensure the safety of our students, local board policy dictates that AISD shall perform a criminal history record check on all employees as well as substitutes and volunteers. [See Texas Education Code 22.083(a)(b), Board Policy DC (Legal), DC (Local), GKG (Legal) and GKG (Local)].
In addition, Education Code 22.053 states, "A Volunteer who is serving as a direct service volunteer in the district is immune from civil liability, to the same extent as a professional employee of school district under Section 22.051.
