Grants For Great Ideas

Purpose

To provide funding for innovative and creative proposals that augment and enrich AISD curriculum and do not supplant programs traditionally funded by the district, state, or federal budgets. Priority will be given to new or previously unfunded programs.

Goals

  1. Fund select projects or items that will help AISD meet its academic goals. These projects or items must be one-time Foundation funding opportunities that will not generate recurring Foundation funding obligations.

  2. Recognize and reward (i.e., teachers, campuses, and programs) for innovative and creative academic approaches.

  3. Provide funding that encourages and facilitates the refinement of academic methods that are supplementary and impact learning beyond the traditional classroom approach.
