As we prepare to open two additional schools – Heartland Elementary and Heritage Junior High – in the Fall of 2025, Angleton ISD has continued to work on drafts of new attendance zones to accommodate the new schools and the continued growth in the district. These new attendance zones would not go into effect until the 2025-2026 school year. Again, these still are only drafts of new attendance zones. (The preliminary drafts as of September 2024 are below.)

In September 2024, an internal AISD committee reviewed the input from the survey that was open to all stakeholder groups from May 8-August 30, 2024. The committee made appropriate changes based on the information collected, and the district produced redrawn drafts of the attendance zones.

In October 2024, a second committee made up of parents, community members, and campus staff will meet to provide feedback to the AISD administration on the suggested redrafted attendance zones. The final zones will be determined in November and presented to the AISD Board of Trustees for approval at the December board meeting.
