PURPOSE: Opportunity to develop current ISD Wildcats and train new recruits to become future AISD teachers.
Teachworthy Success | Expanding Candidate Pool | Meet High Area of Teaching Needs
AISD's Grow Our Own program captures every level of experience from our graduating seniors with little or no college credit to a teacher candidate seeking a paid internship. Angleton ISD aims to provide an incentive that includes the potential for monetary support that grows with college experience and dedication to the field in conjunction with AISD training and support.
The GOO program through Angleton ISD seeks to:
Meet you where you are
Design an individual pathway for participants to move forward through established levels
Contribute financial support and professional development resources along the way
Provide employment opportunities during program participation and after program completion
Program participants will enter at one of four levels, based on various factors including: completed college hours, work-related experience in an education field and acceptance to an education program at an institution of higher education (IHE).
Learn more at our presentation at Angleton Junior High on March 7th at 5pm.
